This image based on a real person but no reference were used. I started from manga style but finished with more or less realistic look. I also tried to stay away from myriads of brush strokes and keep that sketchy energy. Here is the result:

The colouring is very nice... But something bothers me about this... I can't quite put my finger on it... Maybe it's the way the head joins the neck, and the rest of her body? Perhaps the angle of her jaw bone needs to be increased... I'm really not sure, only I know that something is wrong and I can't figure out what. Hope someone else can be more helpful. @_@ |

It looks a lot like manga in that her chin is out of proportion to the rest of her face I think. |

The painting technique is awesome.
But, as said above, it's sad that you did not pay more attention on the drawing. The nose needs a little rework, imo. _________________ www.ELLioTEK.net PLAY BOUNTY KILLERS! |

Finally!
I was waiting for this thread
It's excellent, I love it!
I think it's very interesting to combine these two styles.
And the skechy look is great.
I just remember one painting with this not 100% finished look you paintined. - Laputa
When do you show your illustration painitngs from 2003???
I can't await it...
Wonderful as usual!! |

The upper half of her head is seen from a slightly different perspective than the lower half. Other than this it's great. _________________ http://www.somniostudios.com |
