Great start! Skin tones look good. Maybe a little red in places, but not bad at all. You've picked what i find to be a very challenging view of the face, at least for myself.
Im going to say that the highlight on the nostril looks a bit off, also the chin seems a little flat. Be careful with the eyes also. The right one doesnt appear to have enough of a recession for the socket (like the face is a flat plane). I think that changing the contour of the right side of the face will improve this image alot. Youll probably see that the features dont wrap around the form of the face correctly. Theres too much eye visible, like you painted it from a lesser angle. and the mouth has a bit of the same thing going on. All you really need to do is observe a face at this angle a bit more. take a look at your own in a mirror at that angle (i just did to help me see what might be going on with this portrait), or get a picture of this person, or, even better, have them pose for a while.
Keep going! |

Ok, take what you want from my observations.
Some things you could try to improve it
The shoulder on the right of the picture should possibly be slightly lower down to take the perspective for this angle into account
As the lighting is coming from middle right as I look at it, it might be useful to add a little shadow just under the bottom left of the bottom lip (sorry if this sounds a little confusing) shadowing under the bottom lip should also stop the chin from looking a little flat.
Looking at your subject, does she have or should she have a shadow defining the left of the eyelid on the right of the picture? You may also want to bring the shadow underneath that eye around a little.
There is an unusual sharp contrast in her jumper / top which is exactly in line with the neck and a line coming down from the chin parallel to this.
The highlight on the forehead could be adjusted very slightly to accomodate the rtop ridge of the eye socket (just above where the eyebrow rests).
Hope this is of some help, I can really see the improvement from the first post until now. Really like the skin tones and the shading on the hair.
First of all the skin tones look good to me _________________ _____
