This is my picture I'm working on right now, I need some help on the background. I've been painting the smoke just fine, but after I get that done I'm going to work on the buildings.
I have no problem with painting them, but I've never done atmospheric depth before. Can someone give me a few pointers, or maybe a tutorial or a walkthrough?
Anyway, crits and comments are always welcome.
The smoke and background are on the same layer, the buildings are on their own. So is the guy/ground.

Before you go any further, you need to decide where the light in this scene is coming from, and make sure that all parts of the picture show that. Right now that guy looks like he's lit from about four different directions. |
