Here's the beginnings of a piece based on a pic I took of a cathedral in Paris this spring. I've been thinking of putting two fighting figures on the roof, and perhaps an angry mob below, in the streets...
Guh, I've got some light source issues here...

i like this idea. the two people fighting on the cathedral sounds great, and so does the angry mob. i see the cool place you chose the camera to view from- from the floor, where you could probably see the feet of the angry mob. this way you could add street dirt detail. as for light, maybe you can have the sky "fighting back", lightning and stuff, and maybe the green roof can be on fire (hit by a lightning) and that could add some cool red light from that direction on the cathedral and the mob. the fighting figures i see as sillahoutes (spelling).

this should look great as finished. it already does.

While working on the original, adding glow from mob-wielded torches and whatnot, my friend Alex and I decided to try to make the picture as is into a comic book panel. So here are the three takes on the pic...

Yeah that looks good lit from below. I really like the perspective and the architecture.
