I need a new webhost. I'm getting massive bandwidth overlimit charges due to the recent exposure I'm getting. The fact that I'm also a musician and hosts mp3's of my music is part of the problem. I have a 15 GB transfer limit at prohosting.com, and I've over it by about 10 GB in the recent months. I don't like the overcharges because they can get over $100 a month easily. My current hosting space is 300MB. So, that's 15 GB transfer, 300 Mb space, at $22.95 a month.
I've found a better package, for the following:
2000 mb of webspace
40 GB transfer
40 email boxes
Unlimited email aliases and groups
PHP, SSI, CGI Support
3 Mysql Databases
PSA 5.0 Control Panel
$24,95 USD per month with no setup costs or monthly contracts.
I was wondering if there are better deals out there? |

Sumaleth has a new hosting service that I am using right now. I'm about a month into it, and thus far I have nothing but positive experience.
For your specs, it costs 17.25 a month if you go for a 12-month plan, about 2 bucks more if you go for monthly payments. _________________ QED, sort of. |

Thanks Impaler.
Luna:
We don't have any set plans - you can select whatever bandwidth and storage you need. Its 12% cheaper if you go for 12-month payments, but the monthly payments are still well priced. We dont have any limits on domains, email addresses, databases etc.
With our hosting, if the monthly bandwidth usage is reached the website is replaced by a "Monthly Bandwidth Exceeded" message and you'll be notified. It won't just keep running up a tab.
Check it out if it sounds interesting: http://www.liquenox.net _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

That's a damn sweet deal--although your servers are not as robust as creationstorm. They are running 2 x 2.0 Ghz Hyperthreading XEON Processors. Each server has 1GB Ram and 10.000 RPM SCSI Harddrives--that's pretty hardcore.
I'm kinda torn. Should I choose the better server specs for more expensive fees, or cheaper fees but less robust server specs??
Suggestions?
Another thing, creationstorm's over bandwidth policy is better--they would let it slide if it happens only once a while, and they won't cut you off with a "bandwidth exceeded" sign. |

Ian:
I'm one of the co-owners. The main project of our company is the Liquefyr content management system (http://www.liquefyr.com), and the hosting will aim to compliment the management system once it's completed.
Luna:
The server specs aren't top end, but we don't plan to over-sell each server, and it's more than capable of handling a large number of serious sites.
But our second server will have higher specs - not sure if it'll go as far as the creationstorm ones, but we're waiting to guage usage of the first server before deciding what's needed. A higher spec server would cost more, but probably not a significant amount, and we'll likely move some of the high-resource users across to the new server if they need the extra power. The current server isn't close to reaching its limits yet though. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

I just thought of this: Why isn't sijun hosted by you guys? I mean, you're pactically running Sijun, yet you're not hosting it? Doesn't make sense. |

I'm in Australia and Phil is in the US somewhere, but the server is located in California.

Partially because Liquenox wasn't running when creationstorm offered Dhabih the hosting, and partially because we're not big enough to be able to offer totally free hosting yet. ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |
