Hi guys!

I see all this talk about other movies, especially The Matrix: Reloaded and The Hulk, yet i see no talk about T3 and its number 1 at the box office atm.

Just wondering what your thoughts were like on it, i came in the forums expecting some fan art too seen as the Terminator franchise has such a large fan base (larger than the matrix's)... but nothing ! Very Happy

Anyway i havent seen it yet and i was wondering if its worth going to see. It looks awesome but trailers can be very deceiving now.

ehh, ehehe....

I think they just made it cause they could...not cause they really wanted to make anything great. "oh, hey...Arnold doesn't wanna be in movies anymore...well, let's do the terminator thing one more time and get some cash."

The story doesn't really go much of anywhere...you're just right back where you started. repeating all the stuff from the first two and then right back to the beginning. Some of the fight scenes were cool....the car crashes were nice and excessive - good stuff. :D :D

Arnold had a few great lines in there, just funny shit.

Don't go seeing it to see a good movie or a worthy terminator - just go because Arnold kicks the crap out of things, get's beat up, and has a funny accent.

\m/

hurr..

uhh, 2.5/5. I give it.

It was pretty bad imho.

The whole thing felt like some music video instead of a terminator sequel. All bright and happy colors don't belong in these series. And compared to all the little quirks t2 had this seems like a low budget attempt.

Remember the Mental Hospital scenes? The Scientists house scenes? The supermarket scenes? I am trying to remember something of that kind of quality from t3 and cant. Its all just bland and boring... except the chase with those service trucks. Even that though, was hardly as bold and as scary as t2 truck/motorcycle chase.

I wish they would just leave good stuff alone instead of screwing it all up with amateurish sequels. It looked exactly as bad as it did in the trailers.

"John Connor, it is time." - oh god. awful lines.

and the humor... at one point i thought they wore making a comedy. certainly helped to brake all chances of it having the same depressing apocalyptic feel as the first two had.

(i am so sick of hollywood)

I didn't watch it, but if it has lines such as "John Connor, it is time." then i don't think i wanna watch it Smile
Actually, i saw an interview with Arnold and Kristana (an awful interview) and they showed some clips. At first i thought they were showing a Terminator prank or something, cause he said like 3 funny lines in a row.
I think now i just wanna see it because it will suck so bad lol.

i liked it.

i think the only reason people are disappointed at the film is because they watched the first two films when they were little and back then they were some scary shit to watch, and now being grown up, t3 doesnt frighten anyone at all. also, t and t2 were innovative, and t3 doesnt renew anything.

i personally enjoyed t3, because i didnt get my hopes high before i saw it. there was lots of action that was plain kickass, and arnold kicked ass as usual. they put alot of humor in it too that cracked me up.

there were some unrealistic things though, but i didnt care. there was this one part where arnold fires an rpg from the drivers seat, while someone is sitting in the passenger\s seat and there is also someone outside by the passenger seat. well, both of them should have been burnt alive from the exhaust of the rpg. my friend handles an rpg in the army and he told me that after he cracked up from seeing that.

the movie itself is real fun. go watch it without hopes and you'll enjoy.

I just saw it yesterday. It rocked! Not quite as good as the other 2 movies but defintly a worthy sequel. It wasn't as bad as some say. I mean what can live up to T1 & T2 nothing! Mostow done a great job and Cameron said he thought it was a good movie, so it can't be that bad.

There were some bad parts, but the good outweighed the bad imo. I mean the action is just so unbelievable. The bathroom brawl, the crane chase. Imo the crane chase was better than the Matrix Reloaded Freeway Chase scene.

There wasn't over use of special effects either, which i was expecting. It came across nicely. Oh and the cemetary scene is amazing too.

I like how it ends too, not what you expect from your average action flick. This is defintly gonna be the summer smash of the year.

Old style arnie is back!! Very Happy

Ignore this post. Thanks.

Cameron said it was a good movie because Arnold is his good friend and he was involved in production (character development).

I agree it couldnt outdo T2. Nor could it do it half as well. And because of that should have never been made without Cameron - be it not for the greedy hollywood pigs.

The bathroom brawl was in my opinion idiotic. They took turns at picking each other up and carrying one another through the bathroom partitions. I giggled through it.

Crane chase was cool but half of it was the kind of CG that shows miles away. T2 had real truck jumping off bridge. T3 had fake looking pixels.

I thought the effects were just typical. Nothing amaizing at all. It was all there... fake looking blurry models, fake physics, unrealistic animation...

And who the heck had the bright idea of making cinematography look like Britney Spears video?!

More formulized hollywood vomit. I was hoping they wouldn't screw it up... but i guess it made good bucks.

One of my Profs who knows Cameron said that when they dumped him, he pulled his script. His idea of T3 was all future war, with Thousands of robots fighting it out on screen.

T3 looks like T2 . . .redux!

But on the cool side of things:
http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/abs_news_body.asp?section=Celebrity&oid=27760

I don't want to see the film, but I do want to see an army of real robots. . .

It's kind of funny, maybe we'll see gun-toting robots pop up at some columbian drug lord's place based off designs out of hollywood Laughing

I went and saw it with several fellows. It wasn't worth $10 but not much is these days.
I don't see why you shouldn't see it in theatres, considering its going to cost you almost $5 to rent it on video, so for another 5, you get a bit better of an experience.

My main problem with the movie aside from the fact that it wasn't amazing, or really great, is all the weird things that happened. Now, i may not have been able to give the movie 100% attention, due to sasal and egbert jr. sitting beside me. But where did arnold get the shotgun?
how did the girl learn how to fly planes when she was young, when she didn't know squat about her dads work because it was all confidential. There were a bunch of other weird things like that. The learning thing too, in T2, we were told that arnold wasn't able to learn, because skynet disables the "LEARNING COMPUTER" part of him. Which is why they removed the cpu and did fun things to it. But in t3, he picks up "talk to the hand" and probably a couple of other things.

So yea, I like to nitpick, but I did pay 10 bucks to see the movie, so I think its fair to expect a certian amount of logic.

Yeah, I was taken aback by a lot of stuff. I was laughing at a lot of things in the movie which were not intended to be funny. A lot of errors and illogical flaws throughout... the kind of thing that I think Cameron would probably have a better control over and not let happen... someone who cares about making a film with some level of consistency.

**SPOILERS**: Where did Arnold learn to get the keys from the sunvisor of the car? Why does the terminator all of a sudden in this movie have the cunning wits to lie and decieve his human counterparts? I thought it was rather cheesy and not as "straight to the point killing machine" like. A virus that allows the shemalenator to radio control vehicles vehicles, press on the gas, turn and swirve, ... I was insulted. Computer screens with static and other analog errors caused by software taking over... Arnold "figthing" with himself to control his "urges" to kill John, grimacing to the effort of trying to beat the virus... plus all the bad jokes... I was not impressed at all on that front. The ending was cool, if only to be reminded a little of the ending to the remake of "Planet of the Apes". (John, suddenly realising the cunning and elaborate plan to lead them to safety said to himself -- "Ohhh! He sure got me good that guy! Hehehe... that... THAT... GUY... Oh I'll get him back for that one!! ... shees, if the guys back at the office hear about that one!... whoooooOOOOOoooo! hehehehe")

bleh. I paid 5 bucks to see it, and, I'm glad I did not pay more.

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*
i paid $4.50 to watch it hooray for matinees! anyways about the keys i think he was programmed to do that, just like he had zero casualties when he fought the cops at the cemetary. hell John and uhm the captain (dont remember her characters name) they needed to talk about something when they were in the fallout shelter for all those years living underground, might as well talk about how the T-101 was sent back to protect him when he was a kid and how he taught him not to kill. So most likey she reprogrammed the T-101 to honor John after getting terminated in the future......

i liked the movie btw =)

I'm sorry but this movie kicked ass! It was fun and a no brainer. It was a great way to finish the trilogy! It tied it up nicely. It even sets it up for more films. Go see it. Everyone I recommended to go see it were not disappointed. You won't either. Just don't take it seriously. ITS JUST A MOVIE....HAVE FUN WITH IT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

I don't like the Terminator movies besides from the cool robot scenes, most of them in the intro. I'd like to see a movie with Terminators vs Aliens vs Predators and absolutely no story at all, just ten hours of just shooting and displaying cool designs... Very Happy

First of all, I think you're crazy for not liking the Terminator movies. In my opinion, T1 and T2 are some of the best movies ever made. There is a serious shortage of GOOD apocalyptic movies out there. I haven't yet seen T3, but I imagine it can't be that good with a non-James Cameron director, as everyone has been pointing out. James Cameron normally doesn't make crap. However, I typically like everything and anything I watch, so I'll probably thoroughly enjoy T3.

But I'm TOTALLY with you...Terminators vs. Aliens vs. Predators would ROCK!!! I actually think it would do relatively well at the box office (okay, maybe not).

Is the Terminator series officially closed? Because I could totally see a T4 coming out in.....how long is it typically between Terminator movies? 10 years....2014. T4 could be all about the future robot wars. YEAH!!!!!

I cant wait to see t3 next week, ive mainly seen positive reviews though it probably wont be up to the level of the first two movies. With reference to what frost was saying, i noticed some flaws relating to the 2nd film in some clips I saw such as "saviour of the future" John Conner brainlessly thinking this new terminator could be the same one that was lowered into molten steel in T2! In front of his very eyes no less, how could he forget that? In talking about the chip activating scene you should remember this was only in the special edition of T2. We could assume the learning function is activated before this new terminator was sent back or this could have happend off screen as in the theatrical verion of T2 or maybe similarly in a deleted scene. Though i should really see the movie before i waffle on further.
AvP will likey suck as its being helmed by paul anderson who consistenly makes god awful movies. Why cant Hollywood leave good films alone or at least get the orginal creative teams to make them. I know I know its all about the money -sigh-.

that was me. Laughing

i actually thought it was better than it looked. i agree it was still sorta homo-0riented like, how they had to show arnold's ass, and the whole male strip club...jeez though. other then that, it was very odd. alot of things were out of place. What really choked my chicken was John Conner's complete change in personality. How he used to be this neat kid who stole from the banks, and didn't take shit from no one, turned into a man at work, if you know what i mean. his acting was sorta very not two thumbs up at all.

and how all of the t-800 models were shown with human teeth, rather than like in t2 with metallic teeth. I understand if they're dressed in skin disguised as humans it's fine, but in the war scene, they all have the human teeth. like what the hell?

And how arnold caught the the bullet in his teeth...like, i knew that was gonna happen, cause i'm all snazzy, but for other people in the theatres 'twas quite confusing. It was like, and i don't mean to spoil it for those who haven't read, but...

Warning, do not read, 'tis a spoiler

Girl? - I'll shoot you (or something directed towards arnold)
John Conner - Go ahead, shoot him and see what happens
Arnold - Shoot meh, I dare you..

Like that didn't happen, but it would;ve been pretty neat. Surprised

I just thought of it as a comedy, before i went in the theatres, and hoped arnold would like, dance or something. He wore star glasses, so i guess it leveled out. Movie wasn't bad... beats Episode 2 or Jurassic Park 3 and sequels like that.

Actually Terminators vs Aliens vs Predators wouldn't do so well cuz it lacks a familiar human element, like supersexy babes by a poolside watching the battle or doing something else. There could be neat slomo pans of their pantyclad butts while the epic battle goes on in the backround...

...

Terminators vs Aliens vs Predators, featuring the supersexy babes from venus ...

...

*spurt*
