the postures say it all. i like the simple style you've got going there and the texture of the brushstrokes at the top of the first one. what program are you using here??
if i had to make any changes i would probably have extended the canvas on the second one, to place the figure either way off centre vertically. this can add a really nice compositional element.

reminds me a *lot* of some art-therapy examples some patients make during their process of getting rid of their trauma's.
