i don't know how many of you remember, but some weeks ago i posted a background for a point-and-click adventure game me and some friends are currently producing. now, we have finally finished our website:
www.gooseberry.at is online!

i'm sorry that it's only in german right now, but we will soon begin working on a translated version (soon= in about a week, as soon as university is over for this season). visitors who don't speak german at all might encounter some problems, since you _must_ solve puzzles in the game to access the content.

have fun, leave us a message in the guestbook (given you're able to solve that puzzle :) and please tell all your friends about us - we need visitors =)

umm one thing that seems strange though .. why is a big fat lunch lady in the restroom .. Wink

dont think Id want to take a piss with her in there Smile

but then again I think it might be explained in th text but again I dont speaka da language .. anyhow man nice work

Wow! that was awesome, I want to play more!! really cool way to present the site, unlocking the sections through gameplay.

You should be glad you're not familiar with the German language, for those dialogues and monologues are pure liquid shit and obviously written by guys who ain't exactly into narrative writing... or humor. At least the cool flash workz0rz is enjoyable... Well this might not be able to ressurrect a genre that's gone big with titles like "Monkey Island", but it's pretty original - insane flash stunt bonus for you.

Haohmaru, listen up... I'm sorry, I've been a jerk lately, for real...I had a stressful day and it's pissing me off I can barely find time for anything but my darn studies yaddayaddaddayadda, so what I'm basically saying is: I AM SORRY. I HEREBY APOLOGIZE FOR BEING UNNECESSARILY RUDE.

Let me just point out the dia-/monologues are one of the most essential parts of every adventure game... think of Guybrush Threepwood talking smack to all those fucked up pirates and the unique item descriptions, remember all those witty comments Indiana Jones made in Fate of Atlantis. Those games had some sorta "personality" and recognition value todays games just can't offer anymore. Sure, your goal probably was not to create something equal to "Maniac Mansion" or smth -- but it's a damn shame the textual efforts cannot keep up with the excellent technical realization. I'm not saying your work, taken as whole, is bad, but it's definitely wasting a lot of potential. I've never seen something similar to that done in Flash and I'm sure this could be big one day... damn, I love the whole concept, I mean, I've played every fricking adventure game you could think of and the classics of Lucas Arts still make me cream my panties. Don't let it go, dude.

flat i dont really like the german language either, i think its pretty harsh on the ears and on the tongue. anyway that sites awesome.
