I lost my computer work drive a few weeks ago,... among the things I lost were the 500 list and about 50 paintings I had made from the list.

yeah, beginning is easy.....finishing...oh well, nearly imposible. I don't think that anybody has the motivation to paint so many images from a list.

I got about 25 done, but I found that like DSG and the weekly themes, it becomes very much like my day job, someone telling me what to paint. But not how, which is nice. I think roaming where my diseased brain takes me is more fun and will get me further in the long run.

I guess it is good to motivate one to paint, but I like to do that anyway.

i tried to find the original thread since i recall it had more than 600 ideas, but i cant seem to find it, dunno if im blind or sijun has lost some archive data?

janne and i talked about asking for these themes after spooge and some others talked about the importance of painting lots and lots of fast 30 min to 1 hour pics.. the problem with speed painting was to get away from the usual favorite subjects that you end up painting.. this was to broaden our ability start painting something new instead of janne's heads or my animals that we always ended and still end up doing.

i got about 95 done back when the list was created, i think janne ended up somewhere around 70-80. i've been picking up subjects from the list every now and then afterwards, but nothing really organized.

i'm gonna have to find out what this dsg thing is all about :)

I started painting already but I don't use the same list. I Changed the order and removed some of the topics like:
