I was doodling randomly yesterday, and ended up with a sketch that evolved into this quick painting. It's a new reinterpretation of the original Pronto Cruizer concept that evolved into the now-ubiquitous Chrysler PT Cruiser. The idea is for something that better fits into the increasingly-upscale Chrysler model lineup, including such recent introductions as the Pacifica and Crossfire.
Rendered entirely in GIMP.

Oooh, shiny.
Very cool. Nice to see someone doing some work like this using the Gimp. It looks a little pixellated..not sure if it's due to compression or the size or what. But I do like the design...I could definately see it fitting into their lineup. It's sort of reminiscent of a few other designs out there right now from other companies...especially that back end (top). But I still like it...sporty/modern yet not too outlandish. |

I really like your work. This is a great sketch concept. But, sadly I don't like the idea. Its like a cross between current PT Cruiser and the new thunderbird. This will no doubt be popular to aging yuppies just like SUVs were extremely excessivly popular, but I don't like it. The to make this appeal more to older people and very young people is to make into the shape of an older vehicle. Some ideas would be 1930's era Fords, and 1940's era Chryslers. I did not like the new thunderbird.
Just my opinion. _________________ http://prettydiff.com/ |
