Yet another uninspired piece by yours truly.
I've been tinkering with this one for about the past two or three weeks, and while I'd like to go further, I realize it wasn't an ambitious enough piece to begin with. Hence, I don't think I'll be trying to impress anyone with this scene any time soon. I literally made up about 4/5 of the piece as I went along. Not the best move I could make.
Things I've learnt from creating this:
- I hate drawing clouds
- I really should try and work out some sort of *real* composition before just up and taking time to draw something rather lengthy. This is one is as bland as it gets, folks...
- It's really hard to recreate sunlight (I really winged it hardcore on this one).
- I still hate drawing clouds.
Lemme see, I have a few references here, the clouds, for one (Which is hard to believe ^_^), a few random pieces of the motorbike/snowmobile/bigwheel, and the face.
I tried to start working with those crazy PS7 custom brushes, and I'm starting to get the hang of them. Before this piece I was essentially using a round brush for everything, and that was it. Sooo, I'm trying to shake things up a bit in my process.
Onto my next piece, which will be planned far better. Mehehe.
Any comments? Thanks folks!

I'd say you have a really great eye for detail and for rendering them. As for crits I think theres one main point as you have mentioned yourself, which is attention to the overall look and feel og the picture. All the details seem very well rendered but they aren't connected, style and color wise.
Also remember that sunlight or any type of light casts shadows in the opposite or complimentary color. As such sunlight tend to cast bluish or at least 'cold' shadows. As a result of these things the image seems a little flat. I'm fighting with composition myself so I know how hard that is...
The above things are just on top of my head, and I think that you'd kick a** if you lookied a little into those things.
Great eye for detail!!!
Keep it up.
