You may have seen this on eatpoo...I'm just gonna copy and paste my post because I am TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL.

Yea, it's me, again, with another one of my stupid concepts...PHHHT!

This is going to be the last for awhile, I plan to start working of full compositions with 'real' emotion and 'real' scenery and 'real' worth and crap (Or so I hope!).

I used these pissed off guys with weapons as clever diversions from the fact that I was actually doing PRACTICE (As opposed to drawing apples or oranges, or some other bland traditional stuff...Eh, subjective I suppose).

I don't know what I think of this. Some things I'm borderline satisfied, others I hate (The shin armor design...SUCKS, the bare arm looks a little bland, too). Nevertheless, I gotta move on and not dwell on seemingly superficial things...After all, I don't plan on submitting this stuff anywhere.

Once again, it took quite awhile, and it still ticks me off that I'm having trouble making things a little speedier, I assume it'll all come in time. I used bare references for the skulls, the pose and the chess piece. Everything else was my doing.

RIP UNTO ME LIKE A PIPING HOMO INTO LOVELY MANFLESH~!

Wow thats incredible! I love that chain! Great details!

But ... how is he lit?
His fingertips for example suggest that he is lit from the front.
The armor suggests that he is lit from the left. (the shadow suggests that also)

There is almost no seperation of light and shadow ...
only bright colors (skin tones and metal) and dark colors (black & gray).

I think especially the skintones could do with more seperation of light and shadow ...
the palm could be darker for example ... no highlights on the fingertips!?
Maybe it might help to make the shadows that already exist darker?
And I think the armor design is cool by the way!
