i like the frog in the colored version...yet everything else doesnt seem thick enough..
way too blurry so it makes the from stand out and
leave the whole background behind
you only made a big underlay of colors and just shaded big areas rather
than highlighting and shading each individual part....
mainly im talking about the ground...its like the lines arent even there
because you didnt focus in on each dirt segment....use thicker colors
and dont rush the bkgrnd. late _________________ www.andresguzman.com

Well, I think the horizon line should be much lower, more like at the graves level. Also, you seem to be using dodge and burn to create highlights and that saturates very much the picture imho. I'd better use colors, different lighter or darker colors with a low opacity brush to create the highlights and shadows.
Also, you should define where light should come from and then start painting shadows, right now the lightsource is pretty vague to me.
Hope this helps. _________________ "Ever forward, my darling wind." -Master Yuppa

ragnarok: iam glad to say that I have been using no dodge and burn at all, only colors =), so wierd that it seems like that anyway.. heh.. yeah and well about the horizon, mm, true. buts the perspective is fucked up all the way, so its lots to correct.. very true all though....
the_insider: got that fixed in the new version i think.. good points...
so i made a new version of the coloring and stuff =D
here it is:
