well, if it's not allowed to be a biology book, try a DaVinci anthology or two. The ones with all his form sketches in them.
Or Michaelangelo for that matter.

the cheap way is to get a bunch of gymnastics or yoga magazines

I know a lot of people hate him, but I've really gotta recommend Burne Hogarth's books. At the very least, check out "Dynamic Figure Drawing". He's more of a comic-book style artist, rather than a realistic artist, but he has some good ideas, and that's the book that really pushed me ahead a few years back.

I find that a bodybuilding magazine or two are great references, if you're drawing that sort of stuff. They make good anatomy books anyway.

I've been told that the best book is "Drawing with the right side of the brain"
(translated from swedish) don't know if that's the English title. I haven't read it yet, starting on it tonight...

Drawing On The Right Side of the Brain definitely isn't an anatomy or pose book. It's much more theoretical -- it's supposed to teach you how to SEE, and how to draw what you see, instead of what you think you see.

I bought a copy last year, around 10 years or so after I started drawing, so I don't think it's as useful to me as it would've been if I'd gotten hold of it earlier, but it presents some good ideas.

Including the books I mentioned in a previous post, Sumaleth, a great digi-artist that I know, has quite a concise listing of art books at his site, http://impact.frag.com/
