I've been working on this graduation gift for my sister over the past few days.

Wallpaper size (1152x864. 74kb)
Detail 1 (Girl)
Detail 2 (University)
This is the first time I've painted something with the intent to print it. I'll probably go back and clean up the robe and some other areas, but for the most part, it's done. I still have until next Thursday to finish it, though, so any comments and critiques you have to offer would be great. Thanks!

I like it.
Maybe you can try to make her legs look longer? _________________ http://www.conceptworld.org |

Thanks, AndyT.
I showed it to my art teacher, and he suggested taking out the right tree. He said it closed in the image too much. I can see what he's talking about, so I did just a quick modification on it, but I'm still not sure which I like better...
If you have an opinion, let me know. That's the only difference in this one - I haven't had a chance to change anything else.
I have also been informed that falling leaves normally symbolize death and misfortune. Whoops. Oh well. I like them. =)
Thanks again.
EDIT: I've added a tree in the distance based on Tinusch's suggestion. I like this one, but I'm still very open to other suggestions and opinions.

Looks good, but the right side needs something. Something large in the distance would balance it out a bit better. |
