And now, from the department of Something Completely Different...
This is the cover art I did for Fleshrot , featuring their cover girl, Misty Graves.
I will also have a ten-page comic included in Fleshrot #1, so if you want to read it, you should buy a copy. (blatant commercialism alert!) Also, lots of Sijun members have art in Fleshrot, so you should...yeah...buy a copy.[/url] _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.

The Cool thing is that you have changed your style, both in drawing and painting and this one is totally beautiful, Wow. :)
So where should I look for a copy? couldnt find any store at Fleshrot, or hmmm is there a store there?
Now may I ask how you did that grass? did you start with the grass as a black silhouette and then added white brown etc?
See you

I like your painting very much.. awesome background
but I would change a little in composition as you can see
but that image lost the exciting comparing with original
It looks too funny when the girl looks calm (and smiling??) while a zombie is eating her foot, hehe _________________ out |

I would agree with you normally Tomasis, but Misty Graves doesn't fear zombies or any monster for that matter because she lives around them. So that's why she's smiling as if to say "Oooh I'm scared. You guys really need to take a bath!" _________________ Don't bother running. They can already taste you. |

Zombie Rattle - Hey! Thought you might show up in this thread! Couldn't have described Misty's attitude better, myself!
Tomasis - Hey, you just cut off the title! Your cropping does center the characters and remove some negative space, but it doesn't quite fit the purpose, since the area you removed is where the Fleshrot logo goes. I think it might crowd everything a little bit, as well...but, there you go. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
Andromeda - Hehe, thank you! Aroooooooooo.
Matthew - They will be taking pre-orders on fleshrot.com starting on the 12th, I think--that's just a couple of days from now, so you can order a copy then. Or you should be able to get a copy in meatspace from a comic book shop, I should imagine. Glad you like the cover! It was a departure from my normal style...I learned a lot doing this. See, I was trying out Anders Finer's technique which he showed off in his latest thread, where he painted in grayscale first and then put the colours on top. So I did the grass by painting it all in grays, then putting colours on it with different Photoshop layer modes. I had trouble figuring out which ones to use for what, but I think I ended up using mostly Multiply and...Soft Light. I'm not sure I would use this method again, because it was more difficult than I thought it was going to be...but I think it did end up working out well, so, it was still a good experience.
Hyptosis - Thanks! Yes, zombies do indeed rock!
Max Kulich - Thank you very much! Glad you like it! ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.

Tomasis,
I think if he bit her she probably would be in serious pain, but if you look closely he only has his mouth open so he hasn't actually bitten her.
BTW, the book is now on sale.
Cheers! _________________ Don't bother running. They can already taste you. |

Hey man, I love the background, simply lovely. I know this is also a zombie pic, like the last one I made this comment on, but I'd like to see more color variation in her flesh. Just to liven her up a bit. Everything's very nicely rendered. _________________ -Anthony
