right now im scannin a line art, which ive done many times before. Usually i would scan it as "line art" (obviously) since thats the setting that works best. But when i do do this, the image, as u no, becomes pixelated and the lines are not as smmooth as i drew them. Then if i scan it as bw photo or colr photo or bw/color document, its smooth, but fuzzy, so if i paint bucket in the color theres a grey color outlining the outline (this thing im gona scan is gonna be cel shaded so ill finish it in like 5 min) Though i can fix this outline, it takes a bit of time, and thats time i dont wanta waste.
I just want ta no how u guys scan ur line arts and what settings u use. _________________ -Chase |

Hey
I usually scan in line-art with grayscale and then set the brightness to 40 and contrast to 60 and then fix up the line-art in photoshop with levels.
I know the dude at polykarbon talked about this in his tutorial, so I put the link with this post:
http://www.polykarbon.com/tutorials/scanning/scan.htm
Otherwise, dont know what kind of scanner and software you have.
I have a snapscan and I really like the software which comes with that scanner.
see you
