Quicky that I experimented with... mainly devising ways to make good solid looking cat walks... planks... circles.. etc.

Is it just me, or is the general art community lately just been really... slow. _________________ http://jcaart.cjb.net |

cool stuff, somehow the top girl's bothering me.. the light on her leg is so unsaturated and dull, though you said it's underwater.. but aren't there still highlights? It seems whenever you see people underwater with sharp lights (ie the sun), you get really cool concentrated ghostly highlights.. hm.
this stuff isn't what you were focusing on, but I think this could be a cool moody picture if you went back and touched it up a little more. Like the hanging wires... give them more gravity-weight. They seem to be hanging at different angles. I think rotating the picture when you do it would help a lot, at least to get all parallel ellipse shapes. Just doing that would, imho, weight down the picture and give us a stronger sense of where "up" and "down" is, especially with the camera rotated.
Also.. maybe lighten the background more on the sides (thereby increasing the contrast around the figures) or increase the light between the two figures so the attention falls more between them. Just my opinion though. |

Sumaleth> It does look like a teleporter like machine or something..
AndyT> I accidentally saved over the original .psd with the full res with a smaller, but workable ver. Sorry
SolarC> thnx
Matthew> ty, I am sorta proud of that cat walk. It's my first good one for myself. I hope to do better in the future. lol
breetus> thanks, glad you like the girls.. as they are kinda weird looking.
dr . bang> thank you
eyewoo> yeah but yours are better
aphelionart> About the top girl, it's really dull, mainly because the girl is supposed to be transparent. in fact I put her on another layer just so I could make that transparent and paint under her (I could make her brighter if I uped the opacity, but I'm still not certain if I should, considering I have no background as of yet that would help to see through her.) . As for underwater, I'm not sure how that notion came to be, but I am pretty certain it's not underwater.
I think you're right about the cables. I'll probably want to make those look correctly weighted, I'll also see if the lightening of the sides works well.
Thnx
Max Kulich> Yes, I'll have to see about that background. ty _________________ http://jcaart.cjb.net |

I honestly think teh whole deal would look even cooler if that second gurl floatin' would be taken out for good. Ma last statement implies it looks cool anyway and that's the way it's meant ta be. _________________

K I updated the image a bit more. Nothing huge, but better imo. I'm still deciding on the background, figuring out what I will do.
The main change is that now the hologram chick is back to almost full brightness,, but as you notice, she should look a little funky, I just blurred a backimage of herself to make it more like how the movies do it, blurry and fuzzy. _________________ http://jcaart.cjb.net |
