Looks like I didn't get the image to show.

If this one doesn't work someone will have to help me get it right.

Thanks. Originally I drew a set of four line and wash images but was always unhappy at parts that I hadn't had time to get right, so when I got into digital art I redrew a couple of them. This one I redid from scratch in Photoshop 5. The original image is quite hi res so it's possible to get very fine lines. At 1200 ppi (at printed size in inches-or cms) it's probably possible to do finer lines than with a real brush, and with more control, I guess, since you can zoom so close in. The washes were put in on a separate layer.

Nope, not for a game. The 4 original sketches were done for my local art gallery who wanted 4 scenes from the life of Alfred the Great. I re-drew two of them in Photoshop to see if I could improve on the originals using digital techniques.
I'm looking into high quality archival printing options now to see if it's possible to make up for the lack of original art.
Can anybody here point me to links about that sort of thing?

I think it's Eyewoo who did research on the topic and kept raving about the merits of his new archival printer (I just want one too). You might want to make a search on the forums about this.

Oh i nearly forgot ! About that picture.. it's amazing. It reminds me a bit of a comic I read named "Bran Ruz". It's both in breton and french, b/w and is around 200 pages.
The rocks on the right are my favorite with this kind of ink work / gravure look. Smile

EditS: Shocked I was half asleep when I originaly wrote this..and obviously not quite "there" yet.. Embarassed Embarassed

My jaw dropped! Shocked

Very nice detail. Lots of hardwork must have gone into this one. No constructive crits here.. Just awe!

Northman--

Check out This website

It has a lot of info on archival printing using Epson printers.

And b/w piezography ink sets.

http://inkjetmall.com/

I prefer the warm toned grays with museum black on a matte finished paper.

they sell all of it there.

Jon Cone runs the sight.
