hey, He looks really cool. You could do the shield bigger so that the shield goes over his shoulder. a bigger shield would do the trick yea. :)

hmmm...i think the shield looks pretty cool the way it is. what do ya mean u dont know how to do it? Well, i guess u can make a bit more of a glow eminating from it or something, and like mat said u could make it bigger. But it looks really awesome anyway.
ps are u gonna make him standin on anything? _________________ -Chase |

maybe if you had a more detailed background you could make the shield transulent and add some "sheen" to it like you would glass or mirrors?.... or maybe you just wanna make it look big chunky solid indestructable _________________

Matthew - Thanks, yea my friend says the shield looks too small too, and since it is gundam inspired, I have enlarged it a bit.
Cw/Ritaku - I ended up cheating with the shield rendering by making a new noise layer, crystallizing and doing some effects, then distorting it and making it fit the perspective. I think it looks ok now, a little on the wierd side still. Not really what I wanted. I wanted some parts to glow more than others, and distort the background, sort of like the final fantasy city shields Spooge had(looking at goodbrush).
I don't think I'm going to make him stand on anything...it's supposed to be a space mech, and just a concept piece.
UkiTaku- Yea, this whole mech is gundam inspired. Sorta trying to give a more realistic coloring to a gundam bot basically. And I took off the head because it's not supposed to be that big of a robot.
Almost the final I think, need some work on contrast at the top and perspective on the legs:

I like your style....its very well done...but when I first looked at it, the shield almost looked to be floating.....not really connected..... _________________ "You're only truly free to do anything, when you have lost everything"--Tyler Durdin |
