This is posted on behalf of a friend. If you're a strong painter, you really need to check into this. Being published by image is fun.

Greetings,

My name is Chris D. White. I am a writer/creator working with Roaring Studios, a subsiduary of Image Comics. I am currently seeking a digital painter to work on an EPIC fantasy project of mine. I am looking for someone who who will bring and edge of skill and experience to this project.

I want to create a whole new style of digital painting for the characters, but here are a few previously created styles that I really enjoy.

Hyung Tae Kim's work on the Magna Carte game.

The Final Fantasy X Renders

And Ben Henry's Version of Sam Liu's Knight Dude thingy drawing...

Here is a quick sample of the art that will be featured in the book.

Just a quick sneak peek!

Also, note you will be working hand in hand with a background/environment artist. A very talented individual by the name of Anthony Frascella.

You can contact me at [email protected]
And please! No direct images. If you can, please provide a link to your work. If you HAVE to send an image, send jpgs no bigger then 100k per email.

I'm sorry Matthew. While you're certainly improving, I think I can categorically say that you don't have what it takes to be published by Image.

Although I'm not a good candidate for this, a question has popped.

These comic strips hire experienced artists, of course, but does age play a major factor? Let's say an oppurtunity opened up, or let's just say this one, would they consider younger artists as amateur? I'm fairly young compared to the majority of members amongst sijun, so what would someone like I have to do to stand out, or even interest a client? (Ignore this post if it sounds inane)

tilokani: I'm the colorist for one book, and the background artist for another, both Image titles. I'm 17, but thats not the point. I was picked up because of my work, and only my work.

JR: I don't believe this was the job you inquired, the position was just opened recently.
