Hi. First off..."wow." I found this website today while looking at stuff of Ron Lemen's. He teaches at the school I go to. But anyway, what a great site!
I was wondering what some people use for nude photo reference. The book I have is not really that great when it comes to lighting I think. The Nude Figure: A Visual Reference for the Artist
Anyway, I figured out that I have a ton of head reference but lack on full figures. Any suggestions?
Thanks! |

For nude reference try a figure drawing class, books on erotica, Playboy, anything by Andrew Loomis, the internet has tons of nude photos if you know where to look, and there are hundreds of nude reference books for artists. go to www.budplant.com or http://home.socal.rr.com/stuartngbooks/ to find reference books. You could also use Poser, a 3d figure software that lets you pose figures and light them according to your specifications. Worst cas scenario, strip and stand in front of a mirror. |
