I'm planning to add a knife in his left hand if I ever finish this ..
I started shading the right arm, although I have no idea what I'm doing ..
Anyways, some C&C would be appreciated .. thanks!

My opinion (which may or may not be correct - depending on what you're going for):
1) MORE CONTRAST!!!!! MORE TONES!!!! Vary the shading from a 0% Tone to a 100% Tone.
2) Shadows are more than just a localized colour that is darkened. Shadows are a mix of the localized colour in a darker tone, a complementary colour, and one more thing that escapes my mind.
For example, with the red costume, just experiment, but add some blue to the shadowed areas. You'll see it adds more dimension.
For totally dark areas like shadows, I also suggest adding some blue to it to give it a cool feeling and using 90% black or 10% White.. Although subtle, this effect is rather "cool" jhehehehehe no pun intended.
Anyway, more contrast is the number one issue I would change if I were painting this. Good start, and has potential..
What is the environment going to be like? _________________ - b

Well that's why I'm not adding any harsher shadows yet.. I'm not sure what the background is going to be.
According to what I'll choose, I'll add more definition and detail to the shadows .. right now I'm just adding *basic* colors and shadows to everything.. only the sword and feet left. ![Razz](images/smiles/icon_razz.gif) |
