Hello
I have made both a search here and in the google and couldnt find any good answers to what Craftint is, is it Crayons or some Scratch tecnique?
I know Loomis used that Craftint and also older comics used it and I cant understand what it is. Or is it just the old printing tecnique called Craftint?
Any answers is very much appreciated, thank you.

If memory serves Craftint was an art supply company. When the term is used with comics, it generally refers to a special paper which had mechanical shading patterns on it, but they were invisible until you brushed chemicals across it. One chemical brought out the lighter tone and the second brought out the darker. I only ever saw a cross-hatch pattern but there were others. Most artists just use zip-a-tone or the computer for their mechnical shading needs these days.

ahh ok, I thought it was some kind of pencils. Yeah I guess the tecnique isnt used anymore cause I couldnt find any info about it, just some comics regarding the subject and they didnt explain what the Craftint was.
Ok thank you Pat now I am not that confused anymore.
