It's not techno, more like light trance.
You've got a lot of stereotypical trance elements in there . . . snare rolls, boingy bass on the "ands" . . . Trance is something a lot of people gravitate towards when they haven't heard much electronic music because it's very predictable and formulaic, unlikely to scare anybody. Personally, I can't fecking stand it, because it really does all sound the same. It's the commercial bubblegum pop of the electronic world.
So, uh, there you go. Your MP3 isn't a bad reproduction of trance music, but I don't like trance, so . . .

I cant tell the difference between techno and trance, maybe techno is a bit harder and sound more mechanic.

balistic - I kind of felt that this song was not that good, thank you for your honest opinion. I should maybe grab the guitar again and not try these electric Mambo Jambo comps.

Techno is electronic music descended from the sound that was coming out of Detroit in the mid-80s. Anything funky and emotional with an exaggerated sense of futurism could be called techno. There's actually some really good techno coming out of Den Haag right now . . . if you hear about any parties being thrown by an outfit called Bunker, you might want to check them out.

WOW!!! Cool! Will u visit me and my friends in the summer, so far, there's 5 from around the world coming? btw i noticed Techno and Trance is INCREDIBLY popular here, but most of them are very cheesy.
