Just wondering... In what size do you work with your digital paintings? Also,
do you select a colorscheme before you start your painting or do you make
up the colors as you go along?

Would be very fun to hear how you guys work on your paintings! Very Happy

So, drop a few lines to keep me from getting totally bored! Wink

I paint my speedpaintings in 1600*1200 in 50%-view(so i have enough space on my 1280*1024-resolution). And go up till 3200*2400, for detailed pictures.

I never use colorpalettes or something - always the colorpicker.

But thats just my way. Wink

There might be something interesting.
There's something about relating colors in the loomis books ...

www.fineart.sk/anat

I think it was in "Creative Illustration".

Bored? There are so many interesting old threads that you obviously haven't read yet ... Rolling Eyes

the only stoopidier (sp?!) thing than asking a qustion "how do you draw?" to a few year old art community Is asking that question and then dissing people that answered to that question.

now...

When i make speed paitings most of the time i work on resolution of final pice , when want to go into detail work I work on a 200% resolution of final pic.

The color scheme often changes throu process of making a painting because i like experiment and often the experiments give you the results you would never even planned.

Seriously people... Evil or Very Mad

oDD: And what's so stupid about that? He didn't answer my question.. What I asked was how do "YOU" work with your paintings.. Not how do people in general work... Because I know how to work with art so...
And I didn't diss him damnit... Crying or Very sad

Just thought it would be fun to hear how you work... I have my own way, but I was curious to se how you other do...

AH, forget this thread... The replies I've got (except for Duracel (thx man)) has been downgrading and I seriously don't need that...
Just thought I would start a thread where you could share your ways of working but it seems as if it wasn't that appritiated so forget it... Crying or Very sad

Sry if I upset anyone... Wasn't my intetion... Crying or Very sad

hey, bigman

i wouldn't suggest making matters worse than they are

and you yourself just said you haven't really checked out all "238947293847" threads. just go about checking them out. check out some artist's sites, check out their progresses and don't slam our mans. take your time and take a look around. What really is the difference between how Signature works and how someone else works in their tutorial? like...you develop your own style nigga.

come on man, i'm 14, the age of thrashing people's dreams and ruining car doors, and i've smartened up, you should too! and give signature a godamn break, don't be starting beef.

I think it did sound too harsh. It's just that it was obvious that you didn't bother to read the threads that already exist first.
Many have answered the resolution question before and about the colors ... there's just no short&simple answer.
And I doubt that somebody has some interesting unique way of ralating colors that is worth taking the time to write a tutorial.

Go to artists websites. Many have a "how I work" page.

And you think that's why you are able to post the most interesting question ever?
You should know how a forum like this works. You wouldn't have posted in the wrong section first and started the (almost?) same thread twice in the Digital Art Discussion.

[Edit]
Ooops I just realized that the 2nd one in Digital Art Discussion is the one that has been moved from Gallery/Finished Work.
And I didn't see your reply tilokani.
But still ... ! Cool
[/EDIT]

Yeah, anyways... Sry if I upset anyone... Wink
Didn't meen to sound harsh! Sry... Rolling Eyes

This thread wasn't started to annoy anyone!

tilokani: What have I said to upset signature? What I said was (and I quote):

"Yeah, really cool... But my idea was to hear how you personally work.. Not to see any tutorials... Very Happy

But thx for posting anyway! Wink"

I don't really see anything to take so personally... Sad
And why do I have to smarten up? Maybe it's just me but I don't see anything stupid in what I've said.. Confused

I have my own style... I'm not looking for some way to develop as an artist, just thought it would be fun to here! Wink

I'm not looking for any tutorials just one short answer... If you really hate this topics then I'm sry..
You people don't have to find the question that intresting cuz I do...

Anyways... Just remember.. My intention wasn't to annoy anyone, and I'm terribly sry for not reading all the threads! It's just kinda hard to read all the threads here in 4 days...

Ah, just ignore this thread and move on...

And sry signature if you took offence to my reply there...
Just don't see any reason why you would reply to a thread you find that annoying.. Wink

Anyhow.. Sry everyone.. Won't post any "stupid" question again... I will just go back to beeing totally doll and never posting or making my voice heard! Rolling Eyes

Peace

Ps Sry for the loooong reply here! Wink

There's the possibility to search.
And there are so many threads because people post without thinking/researching first.
It's not just you but a lot of new members and it drags down the quality of the board.

(There should really be a faq)

Btw. you also wrote:

Signature: Yeah thx for the tip... Again, I'm very new to this forum but I guess I will see how this forum works... Very Happy

That post wasn't ment to upset you, but if you found the thread so annoying, then why reply? I just don't find any good reason for replying if the topic is that boring... Rolling Eyes

Anyways, sry for the inconvinience! Wink
