As you should know skys are one of the Earths most beautiful visual diplays:)
Thats why i feel we need a thread devoted to them Razz

Simply post your work that features your favourite sky.

heres a completed section of sky from something im currently working on, no reference used...meaning im actually learing something Laughing

Cool idea! Nice pic. Reminds me of the sky above Corruscant at the end of episode II. Very Happy

It's an oldie, but it's one of my faves:

I'll do a newer one soon.

Im working on a bigger project, i usually do one each month.
Here is the start for the sky. Lots of more work on it is comming.

Here is a sneak preview of the project im working on.
No reference. Worked on it for 9 hours in a row now.. Gonna continue 5-6 hours until sleep Smile

Note this is Wip.
And only 25% of the width and height Smile

clouds are pretty simple really....they just take a long time thats all.
just start off with blobs of colour and then define the basic cloud shape...do a bit of lighting to determine its volume....then using the "add water" tool in Painter7 smudge thing around a little. after that i go back to photoshop and spend ages rendering the formations and stuff.....very relaxing:)
