Wow, it's been a while since I last posted here. I finally got a chance to finish the picture below thanks to spring break =) I'd appreciate any critiques or comments you may have...

hey, it's looking good so far. the face and the glowing rocks are excellent.. only suggestion i have is the lighting. it seems to me that her body does not follow the same light pattern as the environment directly around her.
in other words, her feet should be darker and showing more contrast since they are closer to the glowing rocks but are also closer to the ground and among tree roots. compare the shadows you have on her face to the shadows on her legs and feet, and you'll see what i mean. it looks like she's kind of floating. other than that it's an interesting image and i'd like to see where it goes.

the feet seem a little wierd, because it looks like theyre standing on the roots of the tree in the picture but the feet are still flat, You have to make the woman look more natural, for example giving her shadow on het left side, because there is only a light coming from the back and from te front.
The Face is really nice and I love the necklace (in the closeup) Work on the feet and It will look a lot better I think.

Also to me it looks like the fire are pieces of orange glas. they are really flat and it doesnt really look like fire...the warmth-cirle around the actual flames is really nice, and the glowing rocks too.

Fixed some small things and one big one -the lighting. I think it looks much better now. Thanks to kruzh at the Ebony Keep forum (www.enayla.com) for the very helpful paintover. ^_^
requiem-on-acid: You were right about the lighting. Er, I think the "fire" looks like pieces of orange glass because that's what those things are supposed to be -shards of a magical glassy crystal...
