I could use help with the anatomy, colour, shading, structure, and anything else with the picture.

Overall the picture is not too bad. She's a bit leggy, and her head is too tall. The main conflict with the lighting is that her face seems to be lit from the front, while her body is lit from the right. Im guessing everyone will tell you to go back and use a reference. _________________ aliensamurai.deviantart.com |

The best thing to do would be to use a reference, and for that I'm using an artist doll. For lighting it's a bit of a bitch finding a reference that matches your idea but I know what you mean. Working around with it would improve it also. Thanks for the advice _________________ girls like shining |

It's kinda odd, if you're using an artists dummy as rederence, there are some anatomicial problems that shouldn't be there. First of which is the ever bending arm she has in the left side of the picture. Does that arm have any bones in it at all?
There are problems that could or couldn't be assosciated with the use of the dummy. The first is the roundness of the shading. She's rounder with the shading, and shaded in the worng places that a real human wouldn't be. Also the skirt looks too made up. Take a piece of cloth or something ad wrap it around your fingers to imitate legs underneath a skirt. OR wrap cloth around your dummy. The boots I'm just about sure you're going to need reference. Only people really good at drawing leather can make it up convincingly.
For an overall sketch of the body, I used your picture and made this.
Hope it helps |
