Little scifi'ish samurai sketch im coloring up, i'd like some suggestions for the lighting. All c&c welcome.

It looks pretty cool so far. The only thing I would change is the color of the flag. its to close to the color of the wall.

The flag has been given more of a red'ish color in the most recent version which i can't post now cause i left it at work , not sure what i can do about the area inside the doorway thou : /.

Sweet.
Maybe add some shadows on the ground in front of the wall and even some odd shadows on the wall.
Pick a spot where the light comes from and just visualize what the light does or even use a model and a lamp to see where shadows may fall etc.
As for through the doorway, have it maybe a little darker to show there is only dim lighting where he is besides the one on his gun (the muzzle flash? or just charged up).
The doorway right now seems kinda flat so if you want you can add a lil perspective to it to have depth/thickness to it (sorry if you were already going to do it :p).
I really like the character though. Reminds me of quake (dam I miss rocketarena).

It's just charged up and ready to fire not actually firing. Thx for the advice on the shadows will work on them tomorrow.
