Hello all! Here is something I did for CGtalk's challenge.
Some self crit: Someplaces are a bit over explained and some areas should
have been refined more but I'm quite happy overally with the pic. Too bad I sended there version of the pic where I had done some
last minute cheap framing work... :I
Here is also some progress pics if you are interested to see:

Like you can see I changed composition many times. I'm not too sure if I choosed the right composition but it's too late to think for that.
My brother commented: "Come on! Be fair! Give those poor soldiers at least Gandalf so they could have some chance!".
He's right but there's no good place for Gandalf anymore. :/ |

Looking great! And with candalf you would get some white light beside the yellow stuff, now that wouldn't improve it
Love the lighting and the lightning ghost or whatever it is _________________ Visit my website at http://www.homeoflegolas.com |

Wow, that genuinely gives me the creeps. Nice work.
(the nearest solders don't really work for me, but the top half is great) _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

it's beautifully painted an all that, but i think the two ugly borders destroys the whole image.
sorry, i think theyre very unattractive. |

Oops! Browsing those amazing speedpaintings made me almost forgot my post.
legolas: Thanks!
Sumaleth: Nice you like it. Heh, the nearest soldiers don't work for me either. I painted them too hurry. Too bad 'cause they're pretty important elements.
Zap.br: Thank you!
tyron: You're so very right about the borders! I'll remove them! |

It looks great!
one suggestion, what if you just made the 3 closest soldiers to dark silhouettes? I think it would give the picture more depth _________________ / Anders
