Did this for a sketch session on IRC with the conceptart.org kids.
The topic was "Indistrual Beauty," and we had 90 minutes to do it.
I did it in Painter 7.

cool line art. i would give her more dramatic lighting especially in the foreground. basically make everything in the foreground high contrast, dark darks and light lights. the background competes with her too much. i would try to develop a color scheme as well. right now its just white and aqua with no direction. it seems like it could go in the primary color direction (seeing as how you have used primary colors as accents) or an analagous scheme which might be cool. anyway its a great start. keep up the good work. |

Pretty nice! I know it was a quickie... Mellowsmoothe's approach would be nice, but I think I like the white on white look. Very cyber and graphic, esp with the spots of hot color. I would just make the background slightly less detailed or noisy, maybe pull in some of the bluish color to pull it back a little.
I bet this could really rock if you redid it for real and spent some more time on it. _________________ Francis Tsai

nice line art...but i think the head is too thin (the back of it goes out more) and i think the chest is too low. Other than that its pretty nice (it kinda reminds me of evangelion) _________________ -Chase |

Thanks for the crits guys. There are definitely problems with the piece, since I was doing it at neck-breaking speed.
I dunno if I'll make this into a painting. Extremely busy these days with the short film.
Hahha, Bengal kicks my ass! I can't even touch that guy! |

very interesting, lunatique... :) for some unknown reason, the face and the general outfit reminds me of the characters of the 'sol bianca' animated. _________________ l'angle b |

Wow, speak of the devil!
BTW, I was a big fan of Sol Bianca when it came out. I had been a huge fan of Naoyuki's character designs long before Sol Bianca though. He's one of my main influences!
