Hello all!
I've haunted these forums for quite awhile and I finally decided to post something! I'm a senior in highschool and I'm getting ready to go to art school next year so...I'm very open to criticism. These boards have been a great source of inspiration so I thank you all. I know I have a lot to learn so go ahead and tear this piece to shreds (and anything else I post).

This is my first attempt at using Painter. I got a Wacom for my birthday and this is the first thing I did. Have at it: Tell me everything I did wrong. I'm in your debt

hi yorric! welcome to the forum.
I like this pic, the detail and design on her torso and arms are amazing. I think her face could have been more detailed and smoother. clearer definition for her lips would be nice too.

You did a really nice job, keep it up!

exept for a black image it reminds me the bjorks video "all is full of love"

so .. try make the corners and ends more sharper ...
it looks a little pixeled ...

Thanks for the comments! I agree with your suggestions and I may rework it a bit. We'll see. Zap, I've never seen the video but since it's related to Bjork I'm happy to be compared to it . Thanks again.
