I like this pic, as well as your new self-portrait. Girl's expression and pose work really well for the pic. I see there are some problems with the perspective of the lower legs though. |

I really like the rendering on the skin--that's choice! _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.

Thanks for the feedback.. And I'm glad you guys liked it.. ( it happens very infrequently for us artists that a picture appeals to many people; and this happens usually because of luck more than skill. )
I'll give you a chance to rip me apart at a later date with a different picture.

Many qualitites here, Riq. I especially like the colour scheme, overall warm but varied accents look very tasty. For constructive critique, I'd say the legs and her left hand/wrist are constructed with less thought/reference than the rest. Looking forward to seeing your next one! _________________ www.torsteinnordstrand.com |

Looking very nice Riq! diggin your style, reminds me a little of Fabry's paintings.
Crits wise, I think the legs seems kinda flat, could have went a little darker in value (mostly below the knees and boots). Also something about the knee construction on the right seem off.
Hands abit small, and knuckle and finger construction could use work.
Possibly her upper body / head could have been bigger (or legs getting smaller) to put more emphasis on the perpective/forshortening.
Some bolder cast shadows would have been cool, from the skirt, breasts, head, etc.
All crits aside this is a great piece, keep it up! |
