i�m, supposed to hold a lecture at university about animation:

i wanna include information about:
technics, historic development, styles of animation, individual artists like svankmeier, the quai brothers, eisenstein, Len Lye etc.

but most of the times i wanna show films like the first animation flics, barry purves, Leonard Nimoy, Swankmeier, Quai brothers but also some manga examples like robotic angel and some russian animation Films etc.

so basically i�m looking for all the material i could get to put my course together. i could use both, some in depth knowledge, but also some overviews and general things.

i read a lot of articles and film books, but if you could recommend me some additional literature i would be nice.
and plz tell me some films i just have to show....

i�m sure there are a lot of animation freaks out ther, who could help me...

Can�t help you much here, sorry, but tell me what the hell did Leonard Nimoy do? An animated film? Is there anything he didn�t do?

yup i�m holding a lecture and i even get paid for it
(and that�s pretty astonishing if you know the austrian university system )

haha and about nemoy, i must have mixed him up with Phil Mulloy an experimental filmmaker...

but it�s true leonard nemoy has his hands everywhere, he even recorded some songs with william shattner and now he is messing up my head! aaaaah
