Hey everyone,
I was just wondering if it is possible to save streaming video onto disk. I am sure there's some program out there that can do this. If not, it'll be a fun program to write perhaps......
well, hopefully someone out there knows. thanks

I have a program, called OpD2d, that saves streaming audio by recording audio from my sound card. I've never heard of one for streaming video, but I haven't tried looking for one. Give Google or Download.com a shot.
Good luck,

yupyup, there exist a lil proggy that lets you save streaming video =)
it's called "streambox vcr" and was made by a company that was forced
by RealMedia to quit developing it.
guess RealMedia hoped that it would disappear from the face off the earth.
well, it didn't
it can be tricky to find but it's out there =) |

If the stream is a windows media stream then you can save it to disk using this program. What type of streaming video is it?

aside from third party stuff, i remember being able to save certain streaming formats by hunting through my IE cache, though this was a while ago... i don't know if any current formats actually save to your cache... worth a shot, though... |

You can disable all the ads and the commercials, even most of the automatic updates and notifications. Hell, I deleted all the non-software running stuff out of the folder altogether. I actually like real media now. |
