Hello all... I am new here... so this will partially serve as my introduction. I am a Psychologist from Cleveland... and in my spare time, I teach comic book art to kids. The last art school I worked for was put under on the account that the woman who owned it was wiped out after being sucked into a realty property scheme on which she had to put her non-profit art school up for collateral. She lost her place of business, and I lost a great place to teach.
Well... I have recently began to have the desire to want to start up teaching again, even though I will only charge ridiculously cheap, 2 dollar an hour rates, the real benefit is sharing knowledge with other people and inspiring others.
Well... I have many resources... and some of them are a few articles of Bart Sears Brutes and Babes monthly comic art tutorial from Wizard the guide to comics in the mid 90s.
I only have about 8 all together, and they are relatively poor quality. So I am asking anyone out there with old Wizards to help me build some teaching resources on this series. If you have some old Wizards some time, and a scanner... I would appreciate it if you could contribute to my soon to be created school. I think 500 KBs/ 150 dpi for each image would be very reasonable to shoot for.
If you can help in this, or have any other art sources you would like to send... then please contact me or just send files to [email protected] Sending them as a zip file would be preferable both for your upload time and my download time from e-mail.
Just so you know... any scans made and sent will not infringe any copyrights since the material will be used for non-profit educational purposes in a classroom setting.
Well... thanks for your time... hopefully we can take a positive step towards allowing children and young adults to benefit from this information... which is being neglected and buried in our modern times.
