This is supposed to be somewhere in Europe sometime in the 19th century. I started drawing with a pencil on paper and then continued in my computer. It is work in progress.
I would like some critics. I like the picture but it's stiff somehow. Feel the need to loosen up a bit. Please help me, I dont mind hard critics.

woaa. Nice. Like the colors. I dunno exactly what would make it more 'soft' - one should think that the stiffness would go away by adding more people but I'm not sure. Maybe it's because it's so clean e.g. no identity in the charcaters (only shadows), no litter, no broken things, no textures - and no cat... I just feel a need for a slum cat (don't do it - it's just me)
Even if u don't loose the stiffness it still a great pic! |

Loose the lines. On the right of the image, tose lines really make it stiff as you said. Make them less pronounced like on the left of the pic where it already looks softer.
Great picture! |

someone above already said what I had planned on saying, so I reiterate - add more action.. a bit more choas.. I think it appears stiff because its so symmetrical .. everything seems either pushe to the sidelines.. or to back and front.. add some flowing trash perhaps.. anything in the middle of the street.. perhaps something in one of the windows - they're all so identical.. you just kind of ignore them.. I really do suggest throwing in some things to catch the eye offguard
Beautiful work though.. I really love the feel otherwise.. the warmth of the faded colors is great. _________________ Help me grow. |

Thanks a lot for the tips guys, I'm going to have them in mind when I work. I'll post an updated version soon.
