Ok, this is just an idea I am runn'n by all of you that has already begun to take shape in the real world but I am still gonna type this anyhoo.
I am beginning to bring together a student film union here in Vancouver (canada) and I am lookn for some ideas as to what student film makers would want specifically in this type of organization.
Basically it is going to be a resource for film students to get each other wokr on their projects and be able to access each others resources and talent. A defined union will also begin to co work with ACFC and IATSE to get actual banked hours for application (this has not be confirmed yet)
into the unions.
I was just curious that those of you who are film students would want to be a part of something like this? |

It sounds like a good idea for anyone who's taking film...I'm not. I do know a little about the behind-the-scenes part of TV, though...how boring it is. My dad works for CBC. |
