Hey, everyone. I just got a kick ass new camera - a Canon Powershot G3.
After playing with the new features a bit, I got bored of shooting photos around the house, so I went out for a day on the town.
There's a whole gallery full of 'em on my site:

Any comments or critiques, I'd sure like to hear them! |

These look pretty damn good. are these straight out of the cam, no color correction and tweaking in photoshop? |

Man I also thought the first wan was a painting.
If it was i first would say WOW and then I would say: The car is too bright and Some parts of the wall are too blurry......but since it is NOT a painting I am just confused ![Confused](images/smiles/icon_confused.gif) |

Hey, guys. Thanks for the comments!
Bilbo: For the most part, yes, they're straight out of the camera. I cropped some, and I played with the contrast a little bit on some others, but other than that they're pure. (I increased the contrast slightly on the first one, and I cropped the second one a little. The others in the gallery vary.)
Max: Yep, it's a photo. You should see the full-rez version! |

Really nice photos on your site, theses digital cam are magic, i got a canon powerShot S10 (2.11 megapixel compared to your 4 Mpx) and it makes great picture. Tnx for sharing them, interesting industrial set! That type of thing is not available in my town Would have to go out
More! more!

Cool. I like boafadoze.
Since age ten or so, I always had a 35mm SLR, but I grew up longing for a darkroom of my own that never came. Now, with digital cameras and Photoshop, anyone has the joys of a darkroom and much more.
The first one is my favorite too. It looks really alien; what a nice find. Too bad about the fence on the right, messing with your otherwise perfect composition. Damn fence. |

Everyone: thanks for the comments!
Aliasmoze: You really think the fence hurts the composition? I thought it keet it from being too static, especially since it's balanced a bit by the pillar on the left. (That was purely an accident, but I think it works anyway.) |
