If you want one, get a graphire 2 USB.
I use one also. I think it's great.

There was a post last year that addressed this issue, and I believe it was the consensus of most that the Graphire is a great start. It's a very cost effective catalyst for learning. Down the road you might reach a point where you feel the need to move up to something bigger; then you might want to consider the Intuos line (big and ubercool but pricey).

i be like, i want an intuos, and the parentals be like, NEGATIVE! and i be like why, they say it's cause i'm brown, that's be like, fine. and i go buy a graphire2, and it's be like, yeah, it passes me by, it's a great little thing it gots going there, and i be like, this is a good one for starting off, cause it be like, good value and stuff...you know...for the price. and i be like, never owned a tablet before, so i go for the graphire as a start, and i be like impressed...with the value...and.
stuff.
