I've been looking for a Flash editor recently but I don't know what exactly to look for. I dabbled with Flash a long time ago, but I forgot which Macromedia program it was. I've been looking at Fireworks MX and it looks like it's a very nice package. Anyone have any input? Thanks.

Flash MX is macromedia's latest version of Flash.

see: http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/

That is a very silly question. Smile

Yes... and with Flash MX, Macromedia is finally offering a program with a consistant, intuitive and pleasurable interface. Flash MX is a huge improvement over earlier versions.

Fireworks is best used for cutting up images, creating nice compressed images, and making simple animated gifs. It does some other neat things too, but it's very much like a slick version of Image Ready.

Like the others said, if you want to do flash, you'll need the Flash program. Flash MX is Macromedia's latest version. You can download a trial version of Flash MX at www.macromedia.com.
