I have recently decided to use my often called nickname (and gaming alias) for my username here at Sijun; however, when I try to edit the name, the changes are ignored.

Am I missing something here?

register a new account if you want to go by another name. that's how it works here. hence why i'm still 'faustgfx'..

point is nothing, post count is everything, obey your instincts.

well that's a bummer - I'd lose my whopping 470 posts. No big deal on the username change, I suppose.

when I first got on the internet I went through a couple name changes but luckily this is my first account here at Sijun, I registered one other account when this account couldnt be accessed.. but I got it working again.

Ive been using Awetopsy online for probably 7 years now.. no plans on changing it. I was Awetopsy even before there was a band that calls themselves "Awetopsy" and other people around the net have started ripping it off.

point is, get a nickname you like and use it till you die.. Smile

eh.. Im rambling.. ignore me.

Sweet, i also am for keeping one nick. Some people change it every now and then but damn.. especially for gamers, those people should keep their names so next time i play with some bumhole, i know he's a bumhole :0

I just hope that people stop reffering to sh*t as shiz :0 that sucks ass

Interesting...
Here it's Gort, but when I look at it from the Random Musings page it shows Tom Carter...

Also, it'd be nice if you kept for a while in your sig something like: Gort, previously Tom Carter, or something =)

agreed ... Smile ... i mean it can get kinda confusing if everyone started changing their nicks, FUN .. but confusing ... maybe those who changed their nicks would like to state their previous nick in the signature ...

i mean, what if Flat suddenly changed to 'Belladonna' ? how would i find flat then ? .. i'd miss him you know... LOL

There we go - I think that will do it. I would like to add that this is a final change, for I will never, ever ask of it again. Thank you everyone for your understanding.

Isn't that an alien from a film where the alien tries to help the humans and we kill him?

Or I'm being mistaken?

sort of -

The film was "The Day the Earth Stood Still". Gort was part of a galactic collection of robots built to police the galaxy and protect races from their own destructive behavior. Klatu, the humanoid alien representative to Earth, was injured and detained against his will; Gort's duty was to protect Klatu as well.

It's a classic scifi film worthy of any afficionado's DVD library.
