Whoa!! Congratulations to you!! Really dude! That's great - may your lives be bountiful and happy together!

Honolulu? Wow - be on the lookout for an old surfer dude - that's his name - Surfer Dude. He is chalk full of wisdom - especially for newlyweds.

You HAVE to hunt down Spooge there and watch him paint or something.

Congrats dude!

Mine is only a couple weeks after yours(Oct 9th). We'll be going to Shangri-la for our honeymoon.

You might consider staying at the Sheraton Towers Waikiki, if you don't have prier arrangements. Very sweet digs.

Congrats on the wedding.

Take it easy,
Malachi

Man all I have to say is all the best. I just got back from my best friend's wedding this weekend and it was amazing to see them both like that. Best wishes.

I suggest not having an open bar though, clothes tend to come off on the dance floor after 20 rye and ginger or so, I'll scan the pics for everyone some time soon.

Loki and Craig could give you some pointers on place sin Hawaii to check out I'm sure.

Furthermore, a heartfelt congratulations. Are you nervous? I hope you don't have the dreaded 'cold feet'. Marriage is a wonderful bond that should be very much looked at as one of the best days of your life. I'm excited FOR you. *Sniff*

Congrats! Marriadge is the best state a man can be...another thing is when kids come around...forget about your own spare time for drawing and painting, and even playing video games. Life gets reduced to work-take care of the kids-sleep-work-take care...etc...
But anyways they are so funny and cuuuuute!!!

*snif* my boy is all grown up *snif*

Now get out of my house.

ps. The city can be pretty commercialized. So take a break from the honeymoon suite, there is a public bus that you can get on and it will take you all the way around the island. It would be like a whole day experience. I would say like 4-5 hours just on the bus.

Malachi: I don't mean to be a dick, but prior is spelled p-r-i-o-r. Normally I'd never mention such a thing but I thought it was funny that you'd "edited for spelling."

My god, you've done it! You've finally tracked down the sinister, misspelling monster: Malachi! Great work Captain Spellcheck!

My wife and I were married on Maui. Beautiful. Can't wait to be back there. We honeymooned on Kauai as I'm a filmmaker and we both knew about all the movies filmed there. Try to take a plane trip to Maui or Kauai for a day, just for a small taste of the islands. Also, SquareUSA is in Honolulu I think. Maybe you can get a tour there.

Awesome news man.

All I've got to say is that my life's improved immensely since I got married, and here's hoping the same for you two.

CONGRATS AWE!!!!

here are some spots & pointers

* get the fuck out of waikiki - this is the pacific disneyland, which has nothing to do with the real Hawaii. It's for tourists that are afraid to think for themselves.

* Kailua/Lanikai beach - this is where I used to live. Hardly any tourists - Lanikai beach is killer. About 20 mins from Honolulu - behind the Pali mountains. Coolest spot for a lazy beach day.

* Makapuu blowholes. This is a 30min+ hike to the blowholoes underneath the Makapuu lighthouse. This is also the spot where the guy(forgot his name right now) that wrote "From Here to Eternity" and "The Thin Red Line" was stationed witn his platoon during WWII and built bunkers and pillboxes, which are still there.
The blowholes are much better than the touristy one next to sandy beach. On a good day it's like being next to jet engines.

* Giovanni's Shrimp Truck - stop there on the way to the North Shore - yummy shrimp!

* Shark's Cove - super cool snorkeling during the summer - dunno if the swells are too high for it when you'll be there, since in the winter it's too rough there.

* Kaena Point - nice hike to the most western point of O'ahu ... pretty cool out there. About 3-4 hours returntrip.

But whatever you do - I repeat - do NOT waste your time in Waikiki - if you do, you deserve it, hehehe

Oh - and if you like steak & seafood go to Buzz's Steakhouse in Kailua - make reservations, usually they're quite full. It's right at the beach, so you can go for a nice walk after dinner.

If you like asian food check out china town and ask around - there are some prime japanese restaurants in Honolulu. If you want Omakasa-style sushi go to "Sasabune" - if I remember correctly it's on King Str. My Square business card is probably still on their wall ... about a $100 per head - but it's something special!

Allright - if you've got any questions, send me email
