I was just wondering all you digital photography gurus, what are your thoughts on the Canon S45? Perhaps some of you own one?
I just purchased one, and I must say, that this is FAR and above any digital camera I've owned/used in the past. I don't think I've ever been quite so satisfied with a purchase. |

I have S30, and that is a sweet camera indeed. I think the reason you like it is because of all the cool features it has, eh?
I like it cause it got all the manual features and settings of Canon G2 which is a bulkier, more professional camera.
The only thing i dont like is the lame macro mode ![Sad](images/smiles/icon_sad.gif) |

Shizo, yea, I fully agree. It is giving me all the ease of quick point-and-shoot photography, but the full versatility of more expert methods (chaning ISO, apperature, etc..).. just like the G2, but smaller (and lacking a few features).
And yea the macro mode is only average, if not sub-par. It definitely could be improved. 6" macro range seems a bit high to me, yea? |

I have also a S30 and yeah, the macro is all shitty.
Also, do you know how the manual focus works?? I have problems with that little window that appears. I can't see when it's focused. _________________ "Ever forward, my darling wind." -Master Yuppa
