started this last night from a pencil sketch. there's probably a few alterations to be done, but i'll save touchups for a rainy day. some crits in hindsight... the left protuding left doesn't flow well with the body, lighting styles are eratic, and the canadian version would probably cost more than $3.25.

its impossible to bend (from our view;fov) the left leg of the left guy this way.
I also would clean it up a lil bit and wouldn use Photoshop Text.Never looks good, also if the pic is fine

Good start. I think you know what you a have to work on but I did a quick paint over anyway. I couldn't help myself.
All I did was exaggerate what you already had going on. After all it is a Comicbook!

the photoshop text was a poor substitute for my inability to draw straight lines, and i can agree that it's out of place. it'd have stood a better chance if the coloring was flat lineart and much more refined, perhaps.
in regards to the leg, combined with kory's overpaint kicking ass, i'm thinking of redoing lefty in a new pose. specifically in the overpaint, having his foot on the ground gives some structure to the environment, which for all i know could be anything from the 16th floor of a building or an elevator on the ground floor of a warehouse. there's definitely plenty of ideas to work with when i start the lineart pages, since i can focus more on the scene design and proper anatomy without having to worry about coloring things afterwords ^_^ |
