Wonderful work - I think the one on the left is my favorite watercolor, and I've seen a heck of a lot of 'em! _________________ -Anthony

I checked out your website, it's pretty nice. There's some really good stuff on there.
Hmm, so is an acid gel wash a type of transfer? As I understand it you transferred these prints to watercolor paper and then worked over them, correct? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Did you take the pictures as well? They're very nice. If not, who's the photographer? |

Thank you very much by the commentaries Drew.
acid gel wash?
well, the technique of the acid gel, is really simple but very laborious:
1.- To apply on the paper a layer of special glue (called in Spanish "cola de buey") to fix the colors because the gel is very corrosive
2.- Sketch with charcoal
3.- Use watercolor
4.- Use acrylic to emphasize light points and wait to that it is
dried well
5.- Apply a washing with a mixture (50% water and 50% acid gel). Using a brush and following the outlines of the drawing
6.-Apply varnish mate or glossy according to the wished zones
(Excuses by my poor English) _________________ watercolors & oils |
