Hmm.. well I modified the design somewhat.. haven't really had any good ideas for this one...but I sort of liked this one.. I'll probably do another version.. i'm still tring to figure out a good system/process for doing these.
Some things I'm thinking about.. maybe have a warmer background? Maybe some problems with that left leg. I sort of like the pose.. but not too sure.. what to put in the background to help the overall picture. Probably should more thought into that.. before doing a drawing.. so that I'm not just drawing a character.. but a scene with a environment that the character is interacting with... Hmm maybe the skin is too yellowish, I might like it to be more orange or red? hmm..
Suggestions and crits welcome. |

I really like this bboy.. only thing i have to say is that her left leg (our right) is kinda wonka. Other than that its a great picture. i dont know what you should have as a background but when i look at it i think of Capture the Flag in Unreal Tournament 2 _________________ Beaumont 'from the beautiful mountain' origin French |

Yikes! that left leg is badly bent just above the boot. Right leg is maybe a bit too long aswell. Overall the legs look maybe a touch too long for the body... but its a stylistic thing probably in this case.
I like the head and the upper body and gun etc.. very cool! I like your style and the pencilwork. The colouring is maybe a bit, here and there but not going anywhere if you know what I mean. I think you need to come up with a background and theme, mainly to unify your pallete which atm looks very here and there as I was saying.
I think that perhaps her torso is a bit too bean shaped, or bent.. but I'm no expert at that, so just pointing out that it looks kind of funny, almost like she would have to be exerting herself to push herself into that position. Flip in in Photoshop and that'll help you see your problems.
The skin seems a tiny bit yellowish, mainly on that right shoulder and splotches on the left arm... but don't go with much more red cos it looks pretty much fine as it is. I like the pose. Warmer background... yeah maybe, anything but muddyness.
Overall its got some great potential for an awesome finished painting! keep it up! |
