Hi, I'm new and I have a few questions and things to say
Alright, first off I'd like to say that I've been drawing since I was a little baby, but theirs one problem. I can only copy not make from scratch, if I Copy a real life object like a Jar or my hand or anything I will make it very good, even if its another drawing, I am amazing when it comes to copying. So I would like some tips on making from scratch from imigination, from just saying.. "Ok I'm going to draw 2 ninjas fighting" like I can't just draw a hand or anything or just any position!
Ok, now for my other question, I don't own a tablet and I'm not planning to untill the future when I'm older. So I have a scanner and I'm planning on just using it, so any tips on colouring? I met a really good artist today but he's on the other side of the world and hopefully we can do a netmeeting and share a desktop so I can see how he does his work. I tried starting at a base colour dodging and smudging but it didn't work, I'd have to see someone doing it live, like desktop sharing
Third, where can I find good tutorials on drawing from scratch or just drawing tips in general? As well scanning properly tutorials and colouring!
I remmber once a person scanned all the pages from the Loomis anatomy books, and I found the book at school but didn't read it, it's not their anymore too.. Hmm.. anyone know the site with the Loomis book? And is it worth reading will I be better after?
Thank you very much,

This is where you can find the Loomis book links, I think.

As far as drawing stuff that you picture in your mind. I guess that all really comes from some in depth practicing. I can't help ya out better than that, sorry. _________________ [:: Digital Marmalade! ::]

I'd love to see your amazing copys! You have a scanner, please post some of your stuff. And read what others post here. There should be all the answers in recent posts in the Digital Art Discussion.
Read about perspective/composition rules/line/tone&color/anatomy and so on in the loomis books. Yes you'll find the basics you need to know there.
The fineart link is the better one afaik.
If you want to create a szene you need to do some stuff without even thinking about it. Establishing an eye level, balancing the objects and so on...
There are tutorials at Sumaleth's Link Archive
Good ones:
