i like it indeed but it would be better maybe if you made the mouth seem like it was aged just like the rest of the face. and i like the redish background color but i think you need to make up a background with the same color scheme.

A - I think it's because ironically enough this is the first time in a while that I have had some time that is not spoken for.

Hey binke- yeah, I am using photoref, but the paintings don't look very much like the subjects. i will try to find them and post them (they were on google, I don't know if I can find the exact ones again).
Frost! Thanks, this is a good exercise for me. Hopefully I can bring some of this back into my character concept work - our current game project got shelved (after a year and a half of hell! dammitt...) but this next one will have lots of character design as well.

You were up cuz maybe just maybe u thought u could get a glimpse of Santa coming down your chimney to bring you bling bling present. Anyway, the girl you posted way down the bottom is my favorite...it has flamboyancy and pizzazz along the line of Pat Nagel and Peter Chung. It's stylized unlike the ones you've done above her. This one stands out for me. Anyway, I hope you got lots of cool toys for Christmas unless you have been "bad" this year.

Francis, I have to say that you draw the most beautiful women I've seen in any forum. To me, your girl drawings are the most appealing, and just the faces are incredibly expressive. Great and perfect!

Ragnarok - wow, I don't think so at all, but I appreciate the compliment. There are plenty of people here doing more interesting portraits I think - I am just practicing and trying to get some feedback.
Simon - yes, thank you - I agree, some are a little better than others. But you're seeing them all, the OK ones and the not so OK ones.
Duracel - cool, Bob is easy to portray I think.
